Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier to create and manage your account.
Content you provide. This includes video scripts, titles, topics, custom video clips (Pro plans), branding settings, and generated video files associated with your account.
Usage and billing data. We store subscription plan details, monthly video usage counts, and payment-related identifiers processed through Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
YouTube integration (Pro). If you connect a YouTube channel, we store OAuth tokens and channel settings you configure (privacy defaults, tags, auto-upload preferences) to publish videos on your behalf.
Technical data. We may collect standard log information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited for security, debugging, and service improvement.
How we use your information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Newsified platform
- Generate videos and related assets from your scripts
- Enforce plan limits, watermarks, and subscription features
- Process payments and manage billing through Stripe
- Upload videos to YouTube when you enable that feature
- Send service-related communications and respond to support requests
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents
Third-party services
We use trusted providers to operate Newsified, including:
- Google — authentication and YouTube API access
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
- Cloud and infrastructure providers — hosting and storage
- AI and media processing services — text-to-speech, video assembly, and related automation
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We share only what is necessary to deliver the service.
Data retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active. Generated videos and associated metadata are kept until you delete them or close your account, subject to reasonable backup retention. Billing records may be retained as required for accounting and legal compliance.
Your choices and rights
You may access, update, or delete videos from your dashboard. You can disconnect YouTube integration at any time. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage of sensitive tokens and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Newsified is not intended for users under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes through the service or by email.
